Season 7 Guide
The seventh season of “Smallville” focuses on Clark’s cousin, Kara. She is anxious to fit in on Earth, but has a problem with controlling her abilities in public. She possesses the same powers as Clark, as well as the ability to fly which Clark doesn’t “ride” it yet. Kara also has a mission, to look after Kal El (Clark), but later in this season she sacrifices herself in order to save Lana’s life. Chloe tries to harden to her newly discovered kryptonite-induced ability. Lois has an attraction for the new editor of the Daily Planet, Grant Gabriel, who has a secret which concerns Lex and Lionel. Lara, Clark’s biological mother, appears and unwittingly gives Clark a blue kryptonite ring that strips his powers, while Zor El, Kara’s father, tries to take over the world. After four years, Pete Ross returns to Smallville with an ability of his own. By chewing some kryptonite-laced gum, he develops the power to stretch his body to extreme lengths. Meanwhile, Clark faces new challenges, but also a dual threat as Brainiac returns and appears the only surviving member of Veritas, a secret society which possess the means to control Clark. In this season, the real Lex Luthor finally comes to light as he irreversibly turns to the dark side. “Smallville” manages to remain fresh shaking things with unexpected turns and twists.
