Raya, one of Clark’s friends also managed to escape from the Phantom Zone. They meet in Smallville and grow close as Raya helps Clark to reinstate power to the Fortress of Solitude. But they begin to have problems when Baern, a killer who also escaped from the Phantom Zone, arrives in Smallville seeking revenge for his imprisonment. Elsewhere, Lana investigates one of Lex’s research projects. Jimmy Olsen returns and wants to regain Chloe’s affection by helping her to find compromising evidences on Lex.
