Imprisoned in his basement by his parents, Byron Moore escapes long enough to leave love poems to Lana on her parents’ gravestone. Pushed by curiosity, Lana follows the dark and handsome stranger to his home and discovers his parents keep him locked in chains. Believing he is abused by his parents, Clark and Lana break into the house to rescue the boy, but they realize that he was the subject of an experiment and in contact with the sunlight Byron becomes powerfully evil and extremely strong. Meanwhile, Martha Kent accepts the invitation to work as Lionel Luthor’s assistant.
