In this episode Clark develops a new power, his X-ray vision, but also meets with difficulties in controlling it. Step by step, he uses his new gift to help others in danger. Meanwhile, Tina Greer, a meteor rock mutant teenage girl who has the power to transform into whoever she wants, robs Smallville Bank pretending to be Lex Luthor and accidentally kills her mother Rose. Her next goal is to kill Lana and take over her life, but Clark manages to defeat her. A dark side of Lex is revealed as a blackmailer confronts him and Lana discovers more about her mother.
