Clark is investigating the death of Jake, who was killed while attacking Lana. He discovers the murderer is Van McNulty who is killing people affected by the kryptonite rocks and that Lex is next on his list. Lex, on the other hand, joins Luthor Corp and he is very suspicious when Lionel, his father, demands a $50 million life insurance. Clark uses his powers to save Lex, but he is shot with a kryptonite bullet. Chloe discovers that Lionel has taken all her document about Clark, stopping her to continue the investigation.
