Forced to choose between staying in Smallville with Lana and his family or fulfilling his destiny, Clark decides to destroy the spaceship and in the same time, the spirit of Jor El. With Pete’s help, he steels the hexagonal key and succeeds in making it explode. Unfortunately, the shock wave hurts his parents, causing Martha to miscarry. Overwhelmed with guilt, Clark leaves Smallville for good. Lex and Helen have problems, but they finally get married. Surprisingly, he wakes up flying alone to the Caribbean (his honeymoon) in an airplane that is about to crash into the ocean. Chloe accepts Lionel’s offer to work at the Daily Planet and investigate Clark’s past.
