While trying to find out the Red Blue Blur’s identity, Daily Planet reporter John Corben is hit by a truck. Later, he wakes up in an abandoned apartment and discovers that everything changed… including his body that was fitted up with robotic parts and his heart replaced with a piece of kryptonite. He doesn’t hang in the balance and seizes the opportunity to revenge on the Red Blue Blur, whom he perceives as an irresponsible vigilante. Against Clark’s wishes, Lois involves herself in the investigation and ends up kidnapped by John. In the meantime, Tess discovers that Zod and his soldiers were the ones who “helped” Corben, but only to use him as guinea pig.
