Things get out of hand when Lana is attacked by three college students. Clark instinctively defends her and hurts one of them, Andrew Connors. He is arrested by the sheriff. Andrew fakes a serious injury and sues him, pretending a huge amount of money which threatens the Kents, their financial stability. Paul, Helen’s ex-boyfriend returns in Smallville and nearly kills her. Determined to revenge, Lex turns to Clark for help. Lana decides to learn self-defense techniques.
