Jodi, the wife of a Special Forces soldier, Wes, sets off a pipe bomb in one of Lex’s secret labs. The consequences are that Lionel is critically injured and Lex is taken hostage. Jodi, who is sure that Lex kidnapped her husband, blackmails him to tell her where Wes is in exchange of not blowing up his entire lab. Clark sets off to rescue Lex, but they soon realize that they can’t escape from this life threatening situation unless they work together. Elsewhere, Lionel unveils Lana the reasons why she was forced to marry Lex. Also, Lana finds out that Lex is building an army of superhuman soldiers, by gathering together the escapees from the Phantom Zone.
