Lex discovers that Chloe’s mother, Moira, has the power to control meteor freaks. He succeeds in waking her up from her catatonic state by using a drug he created. In order to make Moira help him recover several meteor freaks, who escaped from his lab, Lex threatens her to kill Chloe. One more time, while helping Chloe to break in the asylum and rescue her mother, Clark is tempted to kill Lex, but he lets him live. Chloe decides to publish an article about Lex’s secret experiments, but under Lex’s threats to lock her away, she renounces. Lana is attacked by the escapees, she is saved by Clark, but later she discovers the shocking truth about her pregnancy.
