Clark receives an alarming call from Lana, who is shot by Adam. Surprised to find her alive, he realizes the call came from the future and he must do whatever it takes to avoid the incident. Lionel Luthor shuts down the research that Dr. Lia Teng is developing. Being conscious of an imminent death, Adam kills Dr. Teng and her whole team, leaving Lex responsible for the massacre, then he goes after Lana.
