When Chloe starts seeing ghosts, her friends think she lost her mind and Lana asks Lex to send her to Belle Reve for treatment. Clark takes Chloe to “The Talon” and helps her investigate the visions. She indicates a spot on the wall, where a girl’ skeleton is hidden. Possessed by the spirit of the dead girl (called Gretchen), Chloe leaves seeking revenge against the killer. Hoping to discern the mystery, Clark tries to find information about Gretchen’s death in old newspapers. Meanwhile, Lionel encourages Martha to move on with her life and take Jonathan’s place as senator.
