When Lionel is shot in the Luthor’s mansion, Jonathan becomes the prime suspect of the attempt and he’s arrested. Clark and Pete team up and perform their own investigation which shows that more than one person had motives to kill Lionel. It turns out the murderer is… Sheriff Ethan. Meanwhile, Lana asks Chloe to investigate her father after he refused to help Jonathan for mysterious reasons.
