After four years away, Pete Ross returns to Smallville. Chloe and Clark are thrilled to see him and surprised to find out that Pete developed the ability to “stretch” his body after he chewed some kryptonite-laced gum. His friends warn him to avoid using his powers in public. Somehow, Lex discovers Pete’s powers and threatens to reveal that Chloe is a meteor freak, unless Pete helps him to break into Lionel’s safe.
