Three months later, living in Metropolis and being under the influence of the red kryptonite ring, Clark, who calls himself “Kal”, gets involved with Morgan Edge, a criminal who hires him to break into Luthor Corp and also suspects his extraterrestrial origins. Meanwhile, even though he is still alive, Lex Luthor is declared dead and Lionel accuses Helen of killing Lex. Jonathan succeeds in making contact with the spirit of Jor El who gives him superpowers in order to bring Clark home. Lana is looking for Clark too, with Chloe’s help – who is enjoying her job at the Daily Planet.
