After three months, Chloe’s cousin, the clumsy and stutter Lois Lane, heads for Smallville hoping to find the missing Clark to help her investigate Chloe’s death. On the way, her car is struck by a lightning and she ends up in a corn field. There she finds Clark naked and suffering of amnesia. Being taken over by his alter ego Kal El, Clark has a mission: to find three kryptonite crystals and assemble them into one. Lana and his new boyfriend return from Paris, but she’s acting strange after an intense hit with a witch’ spirit. As he travels to bring a crystal from Egypt, Lex struggles to recover after he was poisoned. Martha meets with an associate of Dr. Swann, who gives her black kryptonite to bring Clark back to his senses. Meanwhile, Clark goes after Lex’s Kryptonian crystal.
